On Monday the 23rd of September, the SMF is honoured to be welcoming Bill Browder to Trinity College Dublin to talk about his long journey for justice. Bill Browder is the founder and the CEP of Hermitage Capital Management, which was the investment adviser to the largest foreign investment fund in Russia until 2005, when he was expelled from Russia as a result of his battle against corporate corruption.
Next week you will be able to learn more about his fight, which led to the US Congress adopting the ‘Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act’ in 2012, which imposed visa sanctions and asset freezes on those involved in the detention, ill-treatment and death of Sergei Magnitsky, his lawyer who helped Browder investigate the crime.
Bill Browder represents a man who fought for the truth, justice, and integrity. Next Monday, you will have the chance to listen to Browder’s experience first-hand and ask him questions.
The talk will be taking place in the GMB (Graduate Memorial Building) at 17:00. Make sure to arrive a bit earlier to be guaranteed a seat!
Looking forward to seeing you there!
