Lonsdale owns a portfolio of companies throughout Europe in a variety of sectors including financial services, funeral plans, plastic packaging and oil & gas services He is also chairman of Lansdowne Capital Limited, a corporate finance advisory firm which he founded in 1997.With over 35 years of experience in investing and investment banking, he also holds several chairmanships and board positions around Europe. He graduated with a BBS degree from Trinity College Dublin and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. Aidan Donnelly Director, Head of Equities, Davy Private Clients Aidan has over 30 years’ investment management experience. He joined Davy in 2005 and has worked as an analyst/fund manager for a range of global equity funds and is now responsible for the direct equity offering at Davy. Prior to joining Davy, he worked for AIB Investment Managers where he was a fund manager, specialising in large institutional portfolios of UK and US equities. Aidan holds an honours M.Sc. in Investment & Treasury from Dublin City University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) holder, a Certified Investment Fund Director (CIFD) and registered stockbroker. Aidan features regularly on many media platforms discussing economies and investment markets, and he is the creator and host of the ‘Everyday Business with Aidan Donnelly’ podcast that interviews business owners, entrepreneurs and company managements about their journey and approach to managing the business. Joseph McCarthy Joseph is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer for Islandbridge Capital Limited. Joseph founded Islandbridge Capital Limited in 2008 and has over 16 years’ experience in investing globally across a range of asset classes and strategies.Joseph is a contributor to the Hedge Fund Standards Board and was selected twice by the Financial News as one of the 40 Under 40 Rising Stars of Hedge Funds. Joseph read Business, Economics and Social Science at Trinity College Dublin and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He also holds an MBA (with distinction) from the University of Oxford. Anthony MacGuinness As a member of the Executive Management Team and the Fund Management Executive, Anthony is the Chief Investment Officer at Irish Life Investment Managers. He leads the firm’s multi-disciplinary investment team with responsibility for the design and ongoing management of ILIM’s range of investment solutions for clients which span Multi Asset solutions, Indexation, Active Fixed Income, Property and Alternatives. His responsibility extends across all aspects of the investment process from research, asset allocation, portfolio construction, trading and also a strategic focus on Responsible Investment. Prior to taking on the CIO position in January 2022, Anthony held the role of Deputy CIO and Head of Multi-Asset & Quantitative Strategies since 2013. Since joining ILIM in 2004, he has held senior leadership and portfolio management roles with responsibility for fixed income, asset allocation and the development of asset liability management solutions for institutional clients. Prior to joining ILIM, Anthony worked with the Irish National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) and Pioneer Investment Managers. Anthony graduated from Trinity College Dublin with an honours degree in Economics and completed the Advanced Management Program with IESE Business School. He also holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations. Sean Kenzie Sean Kenzie is a Fund Manager in Setanta Asset Management and the newest addition to the Trinity SMF Advisory Board. Sean is the current Co-Head of the Setanta Global Equity Fund and specialises in Global Industrials and Materials. Prior to his role in Setanta, Sean worked as a Portfolio Manager for CHC Asset Management and as an Executive in Hansard International. Sean graduated from the University of Limerick with a BA in Insurance and French, holds an MBA from UCD Smurfit Business School and is a CFA charterholder. Andrew Arbuthnott Andrew Arbuthnott is a Senior Vice President and Head of Large-Cap European Equity at Amundi Pioneer Investments. Prior to Pioneer Investments, Andrew was an Assistant Director and Portfolio Manager of European Equities at Martin Currie. Andrew graduated from Natural Sciences in Trinity College Dublin before going on to do masters degrees in Business and Investment Analysis in University College Dublin and The University of Stirling.
