Alan Dargan

Chairman of the TSMF Board

Alan is a founder and partner of Lonsdale Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in London. Lonsdale owns a portfolio of companies throughout Europe in a variety of sectors including financial services, funeral plans, plastic packaging and oil & gas services He is also chairman of Lansdowne Capital Limited, a corporate finance advisory firm which he founded in 1997.
With over 35 years of experience in investing and investment banking, he also holds several chairmanships and board positions around Europe. He graduated with a BBS degree from Trinity College Dublin and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Aidan Donnelly

Aidan Donnelly has 21 years investment management experience. He joined Davy over ten years ago and has worked as an analyst/fund manager for a range of Global Equity funds and is now Head of Equities for Davy Private Clients. Prior to joining Davy, he worked for AIB Investment Managers where he was a fund manager, specialising in large institutional portfolios of UK and US equities.
Aidan holds an honours M.Sc. in Investment & Treasury from Dublin City University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) holder and Registered Stockbroker.

Brian Jackson

Brian is a partner within Deloitte’s Financial Services audit group, with a particular focus on the provision of audit and advisory services to clients in the Investment Management sector.
Brian joined the firm in 2002 and has over 10 years of experience in the Financial Services sector both in Ireland and the UK. Brian has substantial experience in areas of IFRS and US GAAP accounting and has played a key role in the development of Deloitte Ireland’s Investment Management Advisory practice. Brian has a degree in Finance from University College Cork and a Masters in Accounting from University College Dublin. Brian is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Joseph McCarthy

Joseph is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer for Islandbridge Capital Limited. Joseph founded Islandbridge Capital Limited in 2008 and has over 16 years’ experience in investing globally across a range of asset classes and strategies.
Joseph is a contributor to the Hedge Fund Standards Board and was selected twice by the Financial News as one of the 40 Under 40 Rising Stars of Hedge Funds. Joseph read Business, Economics and Social Science at Trinity College Dublin and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He also holds an MBA (with distinction) from the University of Oxford.

Deirdre Tracey

Deirdre is an Associate Director with Trinity Development and has helped deliver strategic philanthropic projects for College including the new Trinity Business School, LaunchBox and Trinity’s Science Gallery. Previously, Deirdre was the Fundraising Manager for the National Children’s Hospital. Prior to this, she was Marketing Manager with Reuters Ireland and European Account Manager with Maxwell Online, London.
Deirdre holds a B.Sc. from University College Dublin

Anthony MacGuinness

As a member of the Executive Management Team and the Fund Management Executive, Anthony is responsible for leading the Quantitative Strategies Group. This team are responsible for the research and development of ILIM’s Quantitative investment strategies and portfolio solutions for the institutional and retail markets domestically and internationally.
Anthony and his team have been responsible for the development of ILIM’s range of multi factor active equity funds and more recently the development of ILIM’s risk management strategies including the Dynamic Share to Cash and Low Volatility Strategies. He has broad multi asset experience having previously worked in senior portfolio management roles in ILIM with responsibility for advising clients on asset allocation and liability management decisions.
Prior to joining ILIM, Anthony worked in quantitative research roles for Irish National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) and Pioneer Investment Managers.
He holds a primary degree in Economics from Trinity College Dublin and holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations.

Martha O’Hagan-Luff

Martha O’Hagan-Luff is an Assistant Professor of Finance in Trinity College. She holds a BA in Economics and an MSc in Finance from Trinity College and a PhD in International Finance. Her PhD research is in the area of International Diversification and Home Bias in Equity Investments.
Prior to completing her PhD she worked in Investment Banking in London and Dublin, for Bank of America, Credit Suisse First Boston and Bank of Ireland Global Markets. Her area of specialization was derivatives and financial engineering, covering a German, Austrian and Swiss client base. She worked as a structured products dealer for Bank of Ireland, structuring investment products for UK and Irish clients.
