The Davy Pitch of the Year Competition run annually through the Trinity Student Managed Fund provides Junior and Senior Freshmen members with an invaluable opportunity to pitch in a competitive environment. Buy or sell pitches take place over a period of 2-3 months, with the final being held in March. The final of the competition will be judged by a panel of Davy employees headed by Aidan Donnelly, a member of the SMF Advisory Board and Head of Equities for Davy Private Clients.
This opportunity is exclusive to the Trinity SMF and the finalists are given the opportunity to interview in Davy’s offices for a paid summer internship in their Private Clients division. This experience has helped members progress to higher roles within the fund due to the wealth of knowledge gained from pitching extensively in a competitive environment. Participating members can further expand their knowledge on equity valuations, macroeconomic positioning, investment thesis construction, and risk analysis while growing within the SMF and potentially Davy. 2024 Winner: Alex Fitzgerald
Following five fantastic pitches from our finalists, we are delighted to announce that the 2024 winner is Alex Fitzgerald (third from left), who pitched Nutrien Ltd. We want to congratulate Alex and all our finalists Senan Delargy, Eva Fitzpatrick, Nazar Batkiv, and Olivier Van Druten on all their hard work throughout the competition.

2023 Winner: Aine Sadlier
Following five fantastic pitches from our finalists, we are delighted to announce that the 2023 winner is Aine Sadlier, who pitched Cavco (second from right). We want to congratulate Áine and all our finalists Katherine Pepper, Matthew Thornton, Alvena Sharma and Justin Buhl, on all their hard work throughout the competition.

2022 Winner: Ciara Fox
After five excellent pitches from our finalists competing for a summer internship in London, we are delighted to announce that the 2022 winner is Ciara Fox, who pitched Fortinet.
We would like to congratulate Ciara and all our finalists Ashling Bourke, Emanuele Roncalli di Montorio-Veronese, Hugo O’Reily, and Maximus McKeever, for their hard work throughout the competition and for making the final a highly enjoyable evening for all who attended.
